I dont know which way to go on Zelda Twilight Princess Wii?

I'v just defeated the first main boss, I have to find 2 more fused shadows. Minda keeps telling me to the Eldin Provirince to the west. But I dont know which way it is, I've searched Hyrule field but all the ways to get through are blocked off. Please help, thanks.

Do you remember the guy who sold you your lantern and oil? Go to him then head north. You should be able to go through a gate to Hyrule Field. If not, talk to the lantern guy and he may give you a key or open the gates for you.
