Should I get the Nintendo Wii and why?

Should I get the Wii and why? I live in Canada and currently there is only the white version. And what is up with the wrist strap issue? Also, i've checked most of the local stores and they are currently sold out but I'm getting one in February..Will there be enough out then? Thanks!

You don't have to worry about the wrist strap because all the Wii-motes that were shipped in December has the new strap, and since you're thinking about getting it in February, you need not worry about the strap. Even if you tried to go to the Nintendo web site and ask for a replacement, it will ask for your Wii's ID number, and the ID should tell Nintendo that your Wii will have the new wrist strap.

Speculation is that the Wii drought will probably end around March or so, so you might be able to find some Wii in store shelves in February. It's all about being at the right place at the right time.

If you want to get the Wii, go ahead and get it. It's a fun machine. The Wii really excels when it comes to playing with your friends. Notice how in all the Wii commercials, there's always a group of people playing?
