which is the best game console to buy? DS or Wii?

I'm looking into buying a games console, and I'm thinking of a Wii or DS. Which one would be the best and why? Advantages and disadvantages? I'm more liking to be playing as one person.

They're both as equally as good.
DS: Alright graphics, portable, touch screen
Wii; Good Graphics, not portable, movement enhanced
