I'm not big on gaming, and I'm trying to buy the best system out right now?
I have all the old school gaming systems since I grew up in the 90s: Regular Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Game Gear, and Game Boy. I'm not big on gaming, and hardly play these systems anymore, but I want to buy one of the new systems. I don't want to spend the money for a PS3, but I need your opinions on the X Box 360, Nintendo Wii, Gamecube, PS 2, etc. Any new game systems that have come out within in the past several years. Any tips and information about graphics, games, and systems will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Here are my thoughts.
Best games:
The PS3 as fun games for more older people. The 360 has fun games for teens. The Wii has the best games for a group of friends. The gamecube is an outdated system and you can play it's games on the wii. The PS2 is fun for 1 player games, If the PS3 had backwards capability I wouldn't get this.
Winner: Tie between PS3, 360, Wii (Depends on your situation)
Best Video Quality:
I don't have to say much with this.
Winner: PS3
Best Graphics:
Not much again
Winner: PS3
Best Online:
The PS3 would be better because you don't have to pay for online but I feel the 360 has better online playing.
Winner: 360
Best Sound Quality:
Sound is realistic for the Wii.
Winner: Wii
Best backwards capability:
This is a contest between the wii and 360. The Wii can play GC games with the wii controller or GC controller. The 360 can play Xbox games and I believe depending on how you like to have fun it's a tie between these two.
Winner: 360, Wii (but it's not a tie)
So lets see what we have.
Ties: 1
PS3: 2
360: 2
Wii: 2
PS2: 0
GC: 0
Xbox: 0
So PS3 360 Wii are all a tie. As my recommendation you should get a PS3. Get it cheap on ebay. A 40GB one. Or get a 360 or Wii. But don't consider getting any of the old systems except for the PS2 seeing as PS3 doesn't have backwards capability.
