Nintendo Wii U.S. Sales Touch 30 Million, Becomes Best-selling Games
Japanese console maker Nintendo Co. Ltd. said Tuesday that the company has sold 30 million of its Nintendo Wii gaming consoles in the U.S. alone 45 months after it was launched in November 2006. The milestone makes it the fastest-selling console in history as Sony Corp.'s (SNE) PlayStation 2, the next best-selling console, took 60 months to reach the 30 million mark.
