i'm considering getting ONE of the three consoles but i cant really make up my mind which one i really want based on the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. i know the wii gets more active but its kind of boring cause all the games are the same you just swing your arm back and forth to do everything.and the x box and playstation pretty much do the same things so can anyone give me a run down of which one would be the best, most fun, or has the most to offer or can give me the pros and cons of each one compared to the others. i am not simply being lazy and not doing the research on my own i have looked at each one on various websites but i want a little help making the decision because i dont want to sink $400 into something i dont end up liking the best. thank you guys very much
well the first thing ill start off with is that Sony has just cut the price for PS3 to $299. thats a good thing for sure.
with the Wii as you said its a repetative system, there isnt much real gaming content, it has moved away from real video gaming, and most gamers will agree with that. the Wii caters to a totally different demographic then your gamer who has even some knowledge about games.
the xbox 360 has been plague with the red ring of death since the begining, most people that i have known with them have had this happen. its roughy a 33% defective rate. you have to pay for xbox live, and from what other xbox owners have told me, everything you try to do on that system it seems someone is trying to sell you something.
the PS3 comes stock with a blu-ray player, at least a 40gig hard drive (although most are now 80 and 160gig). thinking that you dont need a hard drive for games these days couldnt be farther from the truth. as games get bigger so do the need for bigger data storage. the ps3 has the same controller set up as the previous playstations, but it has the added six axis (which hasnt been fully used in my opinion). you also get free online gaming as well. the PS3 has not even been pushed to its max, there is no doubt about it. as time goes on the xbox 360 (which has been pretty much maxed out) will fall further and further behind PS3).
i use my PS3 a lot at home, i play WoW a lot but still find time to use this great system. the PS3 in my opinion is a sleeping giant of a console that will in the future blow peoples minds.
a lot of people might now agree but its all just fact, look most of this stuff up yourself (although most of this is from my personal experience)
