How to Use a Wii

how do I add a wii character to the wii fit plaza?

I already have 6 mii characters in the wii fit channel, (these were created for me by my son). I know how to create a new character but how do I then transfer it to the wii fit plaza so the new character can join the other 6 and become selected to use wii fit.

You'll have to kill one, sorry. :[
